Merkaz HaTahara attaches great importance to providing equal service to the entire public, and works to make this website accessible in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

Level of accessibility

The site was made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA. This includes valid semantic structure, full keyboard navigation, alternative text for images, sufficient color contrast, text resizing and screen-reader support.

What has been made accessible

  • Correct heading hierarchy and ARIA attributes where required
  • Alternative text for meaningful images and icons
  • Color contrast meeting the standard's requirements
  • Support for zooming up to 200% without loss of content
  • Adaptation to mobile and tablet screens
  • Forms with linked labels and textual error messages

Exclusions and limitations

Certain parts of the site — in particular older content, scanned PDF files and embedded third-party content (such as the payment system and maps) — may not yet be fully accessible.
