Merkaz HaTahara continues the path of the great rabbanim zt"l who laid the foundations and guided those at the head of the organization — in mikveh construction, maintenance and renovation, both halachically and in setting the goals of the entire endeavor.

Today the presidency of the organization comprises leading rabbanim whose way is far from publicity — yet for this vital cause, which stands at the foundation of the Jewish people, they go out of their way to act and to inspire action.

The director of Merkaz HaTahara, Rabbi Mordechai Krimlovsky shlit"a, has been immersed for years in building the taharah of Israel. From his youth he merited a special closeness to Rabbi Avraham Genichovsky zt"l, from whose table he received his devotion to this cause, his gravity toward its importance for every Jewish home, and his vast knowledge of its intricate details, as passed down from the leaders of previous generations.
