Taharatan Shel Yisrael — The National Balaniyot Association

Merkaz HaTahara identified the balaniyot's need for an association that would provide spirit, community and renewal. The balaniyot perform holy, demanding daily work; the hours and conditions can lead to burnout. Merkaz HaTahara took up the challenge and founded the National Balaniyot Association, headed by a select team of dedicated women of spirit.

What Does the Association Include?

Ongoing seminars and training across the country to refresh and update the required knowledge. Appreciation events and professional conferences to enhance the work and prevent burnout, including gatherings with rabbaniyot and influential figures, and programs of atmosphere and connection — with deep appreciation expressed for their work in varied and creative ways.

Ongoing Support and Tokens of Appreciation

A support network answering every question or need of a balanit at any hour of the day, on every aspect of running the mikveh — plus gifts of appreciation from time to time, to express gratitude and strengthen motivation.
